I've been tinkering with computers since the days of loading games from cassette tapes on a TRS-80 Model 3. Over the years, my career has evolved from application development to data analytics to leading data teams - all driven by a passion for turning data into insights and solutions.
Data Leader: I've led teams managing enterprise data and executive dashboards, working on fast-paced projects that answer key business questions. Initially supporting the VP of Sales Ops then continuing with him as he moved to the GVP of Service Delivery role. My focus is on KPIs, initiative performance, and identifying opportunities for process improvements. Using Python, SQL, and Tableau, I develop data-driven insights that help leadership make informed decisions.
Data Analyst: I joined the COO’s analytics team in Residential Services to build executive dashboards using ColdFusion. Seeing inefficiencies, I convinced leadership to transition to ASP.NET with C#, which allowed me to develop a suite of automated dashboards and email reports that kept executives updated on critical KPIs. Presented with a local opportunity by the VP of Marketing, I joined the marketing team where I handled customer targeting and A/B test analysis to drive campaign performance.
Application Developer: I started as an online application developer, first with PERL, then moving to ASP.NET with VB and C#. In the early days, I built simple but high-traffic apps, like online classifieds and recipe-sharing platforms for Road Runner, which saw over a million clicks per month. Later, I pivoted to ASP.NET to develop the region’s first CRM, which was so effective that it was rolled out company-wide. Once you build a tool that captures critical business data, leadership quickly starts knocking for reports—lots of them.
Beyond Work: I’m always experimenting with technology. I have a collection of Raspberry Pis and various other devices and components—if there’s a new gadget or an interesting problem to solve, I’m probably tinkering with it.
